Jess Borges gave the visitors an early first half lead with a strike across the Broadland keeper and in by the far post.  Dereham doubled their lead immediately after the break when a Broadland defender, diverted a right wing cross from Suzanne Thorne into the net via her knee.  Broadland worked hard to get back into the game with an injection of pace into their attack which resulted in a number of penalty corner opportunities, one of which was struck home by Kat Maddox.  Broadland continued to press, looking for an equaliser, but unfortunately left the back post undefended as Borges swept in to score a stylish goal, volleying the ball high into the home team’s goal to seal the victory
