Match Report | Saturday 5th March 2016 Division 1 Broadland II 2 Thetford 1 Broadland needed at least a point from this game to maintain their presence in Division 1 next season, as it turned out they took all three. Thetford started brightly and forced Broadland to defend and might have taken the lead, as a number of attempts flew across the face of the Broadland goal. A well struck 15m hit from Broadland’s Izzie London was intercepted by Broadland’s star player and captain, Nikki Kent. As the Thetford goalkeeper came out to challenge, Kent slipped the ball to Nikki Baker who calmly pushed the ball into the visitor’s net for the opener. Within minutes Broadland doubled the lead, in similar circumstances as London set up Kent, who slotted home from just inside the circle. In the second half Thetford held the upper hand but could only muster a single goal from Karen Hodgkinson.
