Match Report | Division 1 Reepham 0 Broadland II 3 Broadland were ahead within 30 seconds of the start when Lotte Stalker’s swift and well placed pass was collected by Broadland’s captain Nikki Kent who swivelled and cracked the ball past the home team’s keeper. With Broadland’s midfield in complete control and Stalker in particular probing the Reepham defence. A powerful surge up field and pinpoint delivery by Stalker to Kent, and lay off to Carre Varley, saw Varley easily beat the keeper by the post for Broadland’s second goal of the game. Reepham constantly on the back foot and having to defend in depth tried hard to stem the flow but were clearly rattled as the visitors bombarded their goal. Varley completed the scoring for Broadland with a powerful strike into the roof of the net. Reepham tightened up their game in the second half and might have broken through on at least one occasion but were denied by Broadland’s left defender Lorna Cousins who made some timely tackles late on in the second half. |
