Match Report | Division 1 Norwich Dragon’s V 2 Broadland II 3 Broadland started well but conceded from an early penalty corner opportunity. Broadland in spite of this set back pressured the home side and drew level when Abi Dennison struck Carre Varley’s penalty corner attempt confidently into the opposite side of the net. Dragon’s regained the lead when Jennie Martin following an incorrect call stepped over the ball. A huge free hit by Izzie London was deflected up and into the path of Dennison who score again, sending the loose ball over the line, for a second equalizer. Dragon’s forced the pace in the second half but with Broadland’s defence in good form had few opportunities to test Broadland’s stand in goalkeeper Martin. Carolyn Duthie secured the points for Broadland midway through the second half when she beat the last defender and fired pass the home keeper to set up a tense end to the game. |
