Match Report | .Division 1 Watton II 0 Broadland II 3 Broadland pressed the home team right from the start and were rewarded with a clinical penalty corner strike from Carre Varley after ten minutes. Watton rallied and played some pleasing to the eye hockey in midfield, but could not find a way around or through the resilient Broadland defence. Broadland’s star player Lisa Gill turned defence into attack on a number of occasions and with Broadland’s Lotte Stalker, rampaging through the middle of the Watton defence, Broadland looked likely to score at any time. Stalker upended by the home team’s keeper, confidently put away the resulting penalty stroke to double the lead, before an Emma Riley interception and cross set up Varley a minute later, for an outstanding finish across the young Watton keeper.
