Match Report | Division 1 Lowestoft Railway 3 Broadland II 2 With both sides in good form this match looked likely to be a tense and feisty affair between the division top two sides, and so it was, with lots of early pressure from the Lowestoft side, which brought some excellent saves from Broadland’s star player and goalkeeper Emma Rowley and plenty of dogged defence and resilience from the visitors defence. Broadland held fast, and somewhat against the run of play were awarded a penalty corner which was converted by Lotte Stalker. The second half began with increasing pressure from Lowestoft and their efforts were rewarded with a goal shortly after the restart. With all to play for, Broadland upped their game and regained the lead, with a well worked team goal finished off by Nikki Baker. The visitors had to dig deep to repulse wave after wave of attack by the Lowestoft forwards, but unfortunately let in an equaliser in somewhat controversial circumstances. An unsettled Broadland conceded again within minutes as Lowestoft worked the ball well to claim the vital points to distance themselves from the rest of the chasing pack.
