Broadland failed to turn relentless pressure into goals until nearly the end of the first period when Carolyn Duthie with great determination placed the ball skilfully past the City keeper. Still in the match at this stage one might expect the City side to respond but no.  Broadland, playing with increasing confidence scored twice through penalty corner strikes from Shaz Weeks, and again when Weeks following up her own strike slotted the rebound home and finally Weeks scored her fourth goal of the game and Broadland’s fifth, with a superb well struck finish which easily beat the City goal keeper.
