With several players missing through injury or other commitments Broadland’s fears came true when they lost to their closest rivals by two goals to one.  Broadland held the initiative in the early stages but could not turn possession and pressure into goals. With no goals at the break Broadland broke the deadlock when their star player Kat Maddox, skilfully lifted the ball over the Hornets keeper. Hornets sensing the danger stepped up their game and found an equalizer and a winner after a loss of concentration late on in the Broadland defence.
