League leaders Broadland III had to work hard to overcome the younger and probably fitter Harleston side and had to thank Kat Maddox powerful strike for their half time lead, a poor touch from the home team’s keeper and a defender’s foot which directed the ball into the goal. A second period penalty corner saw Izzie London set up Kat Maddox, her shot being too strong for the Harleston defenders.  The home side staring defeat in the face, as Broadland’s star player Wendy Anema dominated the midfield forced error after error, managed to pull a goal back against the run of play but again might have conceded more had not their goalkeeper smothered the ball on several occasions.
