After a nervous start, Exiles went ahead with goals from Ian White, and then Robbie Whiting, a superb penalty flick. Good efforts by Harleston were frustrated by James Edward Scott in goal. Harleston put on some pressure led by Jon Wells, and several short corners were awarded. Brave running out by Robbie whiting frustrated all Harleston’s short corner efforts.
At half time Exiles 2-0 up. The second half continued in a similar fashion, but with Exiles putting on even more pressure onto the Harleston defence. Sam Brewster in particular pressed on through several times with 100% effort and newfound skill.
Mark Varley, Ian White, and Rob Lukey all exhibited exception sharpness and slotted in 3 more goals. Ricky Powley excelled as usual with runs from the sweeper position all the way deep into Harleston defence. Exiles strategy of having a solid defence and 5 midfield players and a general pressurisation of the oppositions defence paid off for the second week running.
