Broadland II 3 Dereham 1
Broadland’s second string had to work hard to overcome a lively Dereham side. Abi Dennison fired the home side in front with a well struck shot from the narrowest of angles after ten minutes and doubled their advantage when Nikki Baker converted a cross from Nina Torin later in the half. Tamsin Dye worked hard to keep the Dereham side in the game but could do little to prevent Baker from converting a penalty corner late on. Dereham pulled a goal back at a penalty corner when two Broadland players were sent to the halfway line for breaking too early. Broadland’s star player was goalkeeper Sarah Craig who made numerous saves to deny the visitors.
