An inspirational strike and goal from Broadland’s Nikki Kent was the difference between league leaders Broadland II and Yarmouth II at the break.  A goal from Nikki Baker early in the second half should have opened the floodgates but Yarmouth stiffened their resolve and defended in depth as Broadland strove to put the game beyond them. Broadland’s captain Sophie White fired in their third goal at a penalty corner to secure the game for her team.   Broadland said goodbye after the game to Martina Rothe who returns to her native Germany this week after 11 years in the UK and having never played hockey before, 9 seasons with Broadland.
