Although UEA worked hard and perhaps were fitter and faster than their opponents they failed to match the skills, experience and strength of the league leaders Broadland. Sophie White, Broadland’s captain struck home a perfect penalty corner to give them the lead, with Nikki Baker doubling their lead minutes later in a similar fashion.  UEA working hard to get back in the game became stretched, giving Kelly Allen and Nikki Kent time to work their magic in midfield and provide great through balls to Baker who powered one home for Broadland’s final goal.  Minutes from the end Katy Rowen pulled a goal back for UEA, after indecision in the Broadland defence gave her a tap-in.
