Match Report |
Division 1 Harleston Magpies V 1 Broadland II 2 Harleston V played with great energy and enthusiasm and kept Broadland on the back foot for long periods in the game but could not turn their superior possession into goals. Broadland on the contrary scored from their first meaningful attack when Nikki Kent converted a right-wing cross by the far post. Within minutes Broadland forged further ahead in similar fashion as Nikki Baker volleyed in another pinpoint cross from the right. The home side continued to bombard the visitors’ goal and eventually pulled a goal back when Keira Walker fired the ball home from close in. The second half was a tense affair with Harleston desperate for an equaliser and Broadland determined to hold onto the points but unfortunately, or fortunately, there were no further goals as both sides ran out of energy |
