Match Report |
Division 1 Broadland II 0 Norwich City V 0 Broadland were made to work hard to maintain their interest in the top of the table by a determined Norwich City V. With both teams playing with a high level of commitment, it was an end to end game with both goal keepers in constant action. Emma Piddock the Broadland goalkeeper making a number of critical saves to deny City while Claire Richardson in the City goal made a magnificent instinctive save to turn a goal bound effort past the post. City thought they had found a winner at a penalty corner, just before the break but this was disallowed with a 16 yard free hit being awarded to Broadland as the ball
had not left the circle. Broadland’s midfield four some of Amelia Anema, Wendy Anema, Tamsin Highfield and Abi Dennison were outstanding, as was Jess Taylor-Balls for City, their star player.
