Match Report |
Division 1 Broadland II 3 Beccles 1 A fired-up Broadland were too quick, too strong and experienced for Beccles their visitors. Dominating possession, with some excellent team passing and movement off the ball, they carved their way through the panicky Beccles defence. The inevitable breakthrough came when Broadland’s Nikki Baker, receiving the ball wide on the right, advanced into the circle and struck a powerful shot across the keeper and into the far corner. Abi Dennison put Broadland further ahead midway through the second half, pouncing on a loose ball in front of the valiant Beccles keeper. The result was put beyond doubt by the impressive Nikki Kent who completed a breath-taking period of possession for Broadland, swivelling to slot the ball past the isolated keeper. Jodie Sharp found a consolation goal for Beccles, with the last touch of the game. Broadland’s star player was Lorna Cousins.
