Division 2 Broadland III 5 Harleston VI 0 Two goals before the break from the inspirational Carolyn Duthie gave Broadland the advantage their attacking play deserved. Kat Maddox burst through the static Harleston defence to the find the visitor’s net within a minute or two of the restart with Duthie completing her hattrick firing the ball through a mass of defenders a few moments later. Broadland’s star player and midfielder Emma Goldsmith prompted numerous attacks but possibly the best moment of the game came in the last few minutes, when Wendy Anema taking a free hit and self-pass strode unchallenged into the Harleston circle and fired an unstoppable shot high into the net. eat Harleston VI by five goals to one. Fergus Clark was in great form finding the net four times with Mark Varley completing the scoring for the Exiles. |
