Friendly Broadland III 6 Norwich City VI 3
What a difference a day makes! Well a week in this case!
Broadland III played a friendly with last week’s league opponents Norwich City VI and came out on top by 6 goals to 3. Carolyn Duthie gave Broadland the lead converting a strong pass from Kat Maddox and scored again minutes later with a firm strike from the top of the circle. Norwich City VI pulled a goal back but Izzie London pounced on a penalty corner rebound to restored Broadland’s advantage. Norwich City VI’s response came via a penalty stroke after Broadland’s keeper Dani Parke collide with a City forward. Second half wasn’t quite all Broadland but Wendy Anema’s run from the halfway line and strong finish was the highlight. Maddox converted a penalty corner before Anema again blasted the ball in from the top of the circle. City pulled a goal back but with Broadland’s recent recruit Holly Neill and star player in fine form, failed to get any significant shots on target.
