Match Report | Division 2 Hornets 1 v Broadland III 2 With one player short, Hornets were always going to find it difficult against an improving Broadland who, dominating from the first whistle, kept Hornets on the back foot for much of the first half, and eventually taking a well deserved lead when Wendy Anema picked out Izzie London who powered home from the edge of the circle. Broadland continued to press and with Dinky Topley and Anne Harper fearless in midfield the next goal should have been Broadland’s. Hornets stung into action, however had other ideas with a breakaway goal from Sam Tillett who slotted the ball under Broadland’s keeper. Now buzzing, Hornets took the game to Broadland but they themselves were undone when Anema, wide on the right, drove into the Hornets circle and planted the ball firmly into the home teams net. The last few minutes of the game were a bit frantic with a player being suspended from the game.
