Broadland III seemed to lack the urgency to put this game to bed, failing to get a grip on the game in the early stages.  Wendy Anema stuck early in the second half with a classic strike from the edge of the circle to give Broadland the lead and then waltzed through the Thetford defence to double their advantage.  Thetford found a goal late on as the Broadland defence froze allowing the Thetford attacker to shoot unchallenged from close in.  In the last minute, much to Broadland’s relief, Thetford failed to convert a penalty corner opportunity.
