East Men’s Hockey League Division 5 (North East) Norwich Exiles 0 Bury IV 2 On another day Broadland might have finished the first half with a goal or two advantage. As it was, Bury IV got the vital breakthrough just minutes before the break when a penalty corner strike came off a defender’s stick, hit the edge of the post and unfortunately went in. Broadland continued to press for an equaliser but failed to connect with the ball on a number of occasions when ideally placed. With minutes remaining Bury put the result beyond Broadland’s reach when a muddle in their rear guard left their keeper exposed, allowing the Bury player to get an unstoppable shot away.
