Broadland II 2 Norwich City III 3 A goal after 40 seconds from Holly Robinson should have set Norwich City III’s on the pathway to an easy victory but Broadland’s second team had other ideas in this new local derby. Pulling themselves together Broadland soon found an equaliser through Nikki Baker who drilled home the only penalty corner of the game in the first half. City III’s upped their game in the second period and kept Broadland’s defence under pressure for long periods and took the lead again through Robinson, who turned in a left-wing cross by the far post. The response from Broadland was immediate and decisive. Quickly wiping the smiles off the visitor’s faces as the Broadland attack, spearheaded by Carre Varley, cut their backline to ribbons allowing Holley Becker to equalise from the restart. City III continued to press forward and with the whistle already gone for the end of the game Robinson completed her hattrick scoring the winner from a twice taken over time penalty corner.
