Match Report | Saturday 3rd November 2018 Empresa Norfolk Women’s Hockey League Premier Division Pelicans II 2 Broadland II 1 After a frantic start in which both teams went in search of an early goal it was Pelicans II who took the lead in the 5th minute when Tracey Brown put them ahead. Undeterred by this set back Broadland fought hard to get back into the game and were rewarded for their efforts a few minutes later when the quick-thinking Holley Becker played an advantage to set up Nikki Kent who turned the ball in for the equalizer. A back injury to Broadland’s goalkeeper Jen Crawford resulted in a change with Natalie Brooks donning the goalkeeper’s kit. Although Pelicans had much of the possession, Broadland always looked dangerous on the break and might have taken the lead on more than one occasion but were foiled by the young Pelicans’ keeper. For the second time this campaign Broadland II conceded a goal at an overtime penalty corner when Pelicans’ Tracey Browne was on hand to convert a loose ball.
