Match Report | Saturday 1st December 2018 Empresa Norfolk Women’s Hockey League Premier Division
Broadland II 2 Norwich City IV 2 Broadland might have taken an early lead but for some good goalkeeping by the Norwich City goalkeeper and a rash of miscued opportunities, as it was Norwich City stung the home side by taking the lead through Florence Duffield with a tidy finish by the back post. Broadland were not long in finding an equalizer, Nikki Kent popping up by the post to drive the ball home at a penalty corner. Broadland started the second half brightly and took the lead themselves through the alert Holley Becker who fired in after a period of sustained pressure by Broadland which had left her on her own in front of the City goal with only the keeper to beat. City threw everything they had at the Broadland goal but with keeper Emma Piddock in good form, it was a big mix up in front of Piddock which let City’s Abigail Flatt find an equalizer with the simplest of finishes.
