Match Report |
Broadland II 3 Evergreens 0 Broadland II playing with defence in mind surprised themselves by taking the lead through their lone striker Nikki Baker. Evergreens never out of the game contested every ball and might have equalised on a number of occasions but Jen Crawford in the Broadland goal was on top of her game and made a number of significant saves. As half time approached Broadland’s star player Amelia Anema powered into the visitor’s circle and struck the perfect ball which left the Evergreens keeper floundering. With both sides playing some energetic hockey it was with little surprise that Evergreens lost a player through a knee injury and Broadland had two injuries of their own which needed urgent attention. Substitute Catherine Brewster scored their third as Broadland finished the game on a high.
