Match Report | East Men’s Hockey League Division 5 North-East Broadland Exiles 2… Sudbury III 0 Exiles maintain their position as joint leaders of Division 5 (NE)with a 2-0 win over Sudbury III. Rob Panter, prominent in midfield robbed one of the Sudbury players and set up Phil Dawson with a delightful ball which he lifted over the on-rushing ‘keeper for their first goal. Exiles had to be strong and resilient as Sudbury worked hard to get back into the game with defender Matt Read being in fine fettle soaking up a lot of pressure. Exiles struck again at a penalty corner when Robbie Whiting’s goal attempt fell kindly into the path of Dawson who gleefully hammered the ball home for his second goal of the game. Exiles started the second half positively and created numerous chances but could not add to the score. |
