Match Report Saturday 27th October 2018-10-27 Broadland Exiles 5 Harleston Magpies IV 1 Broadland Exiles dominated from the start with Robbie Dix opened the scoring for Exiles with a slick drag flick at an early penalty corner. Exiles settling quickly into the game, scored again when Ricky Powley’s aerial ball fell invitingly into the path of Tom Mullan, who set Robbie Whiting free to finish with a somewhat uncontrolled finish which the Harleston keeper managed to avoid. Exiles now in full flow chased down every ball with Fergus Clarke in particular being successful. His last ditch cross finding Ian White, who smashed home Exiles third goal of the game. With the whistle just about to go Exiles scored again from another penalty corner when Powley received the ball at the top of the circle slid a sideways pass to Clarke who drove home. Exiles started the second half in high confidence with a Will Mullan's out-ball finding Sam Brewster. Brewster’s dazzling run and swift inter change with Powley saw him advance into the circle and unselfishly give a delicately placed ball to Clarke, who fired home his second goal of the game. The visitors to their credit never gave up and pulled a goal back at a late penalty corner, when despite Powley’s remarkable head high stick save, Harleston Magpies’ Simon Newbury found a consolation goal from the rebound.
