Match Report |
East Men’s Hockey League Division 5 North East Ipswich and East Suffolk V I Broadland Exiles 5
The first ten minutes are crucial in any game and so it was when two title contenders squared up to each other in this top of the table clash. Exiles got the break through they were looking for when an aerial ball from Ricky Powley, picked up by Rob Panter was fed to Ian White who fired in the first goal of the game. Fergus Clarke scored their second goal after good work by Sam Brewster and Exiles tightened their grip on the game with a firm open play strike from Panter. Now in full flow White scored again after good work again by Panter who then rounded off a wonderful performance with a perfect unstoppable penalty corner for Exiles 5th goal. IES scored a consolation goal late on through Fred O’Bar. |
