Broadland Exiles  2     Bury IV  1

Exiles off the back of a defeat from high flying UEA knew they had to get back into the race with a win!  The game started off at a fast pace with Exiles resisting some early pressure with Will Mullan making some timely tackles and interceptions and a great save by their keeper James Edward-Scott, to deny the visitors the opening goal.  In the last minute of the first half Exiles took the lead following some excellent work by their captain Simon Nesbitt and Robbie Dix who with the aid of Phil Dawson set up Robbie Whiting who powered through the Bury defence to strike a bullet of a ball past the exposed keeper. Exiles started the second half in positive fashion and were awarded a penalty corner with Mullan’s strike being stopped on the line by a defender’s foot.  Dix stepped up to take the penalty stroke and dispatched it into the top corner.  Bury pulled a goal back to set up a frantic last ten minutes but Exiles held fast to take the points.
