Match Report | East Men’s Hockey League Division 5 North East Broadland Exiles 4 North Norfolk II 1 North Norfolk who played some good hockey in the first half, went ahead after a bobbled penalty corner was fortunately deflected into bottom corner. The second half saw an invigorated Exiles side equalise, when Captain Simon Nisbet with a burst of speed and skill scythed through the visitor’s defence and found Ian White who in turn laid the ball on a plate for Robbie Whiting to fire home. Within minutes Exiles took the lead as Nisbit again picked out White who smashed the ball home from close range. More great work by Nisbit set up Robbie Dix. His unstoppable strike bulging the visitor’s net. Sensing they had the upper hand Exiles settled down and resisted a little pressure from North Norfolk but put the result beyond doubt when Dix turned provider, launching a sensational aerial ball into the path of Mark Varley who with only one touch flicked the ball home. |
