Broadland Exiles 5      IES V  0     Paper report below

Fergus Clarke gave Exiles the lead after good team work by Robbie Whiting and Ian White provided him with a easy finish. A fantastic weaving run by defender Rickie Powley produced a second goal. Exiles now in full flow scored a third before the break when White set up Clarke for his second goal.  A foot on the line, a converted penalty stroke confidently dispatched by Robbie Dix into the roof of the net and another goal by Clarke to complete his hat trick were the highlights  of the second half.   Sam's report-----

Match Report - Exiles v I.E.S - 16/02/2019 (5-0)

Exiles were coming into this game off the back of a defeat to Harleston. Exiles started well and were rewarded with a goal when some good link up play with Robbie Whiting and Ian white to serve the returning Fergus Clark a simple goal. Ricky Powley then got in on the action when he danced through their defence to slot one home. Exiles continued to press and some good passing and movement between Robbie Whiting & Sam Brewster put Ian White through on Goal for him to selflessly pass it across the goal to Fergus to slide in his second. Half Time Ended 3-0.

The second half was played at a much slower pace but within 5 mins we were awarded a flick after an IES player kicked the ball on the line from a Rob Dix Short. Rob Dix then stepped up and beat the keep with a beautiful flick into the top corner. Exiles then had to soak up a bit of pressure when IES were awarded a string of Shorts. But exiles were resilient and kept them out. Exiles killed the game after holding steadfast when a fantastic whole field pass from Rob Dix to Ian White who in turn put in a cross field pass to Mark Varley who drove into the box and put it on a plate for Fergus to score his Hattrick. Final Score 5-0.
