Broadland III 1 Reepham 3
With a number of new players in the team and new to hockey Broadland were stretched at times by a more solid Reepham side. Reepham led by a goal at the break and with Broadland beginning to move the ball around sweetly at the start of the second period, the result of the game looked in doubt. An interception from a defence out-ball allowed Reepham to double their lead before Broadland pulled a goal back at their first penalty corner. Amelia Anema’s well directed and powerful shot being deflected off a defender’s foot and into the path of Carolyn Duthie who made no mistake from close-in. Broadland’s star player was newcomer Paula Mellor who was magnificent in the Broadland defence.
