| Match Report | Saturday 28th September 2019 East Ladies Hockey League Division 2 (North East) Yarmouth I 1 Broadland I 1 Broadland’s return to the East league finally took place with a trip to the seaside and a satisfying draw against a Yarmouth team well experienced at the higher level. Broadland were quick out of the blocks and despite their domination of the first half only lead at the break by a penalty corner goal scored by their star player Natasha Blyth after 15 minutes. With both teams unable to claim the midfield a period of frustration for both sides was only ended by the half time whistle. Within 10 minutes of the restart Alexis Williamson-Jones found an equalizer for Yarmouth with a well-executed perfect penalty corner strike which beat Jen Crawford the Broadland keeper for power and placement. Some risky defending, however caused some anxious moments for Broadland. Overall Broadland were happy with the point gained as were Yarmouth who stubbornly defended their goal throughout the second half.
