Match Report | Saturday 12th October 2019 East Women’s Hockey League Division 2 (North East) Harleston III 4 Broadland 2 Broadland’s long run of unbeaten league games stretching back to 17th February 2018 came to an abrupt halt when they lost by 4 goals to 2 at Harleston. Harleston III kept Broadland on the defensive for most of the first half and took the lead through a penalty corner and scored again before the interval to seize a grip on the game. Harleston’s third goal within minutes of the restart seemed to revitalise Broadland who suddenly found their range with the visitors pulling two goals in quick succession to keep the game alive. Broadland’s captain Hattie Hobart’s deflected strike at a penalty corner giving the home keeper little opportunity to make a save, and a clinical finish from Broadland’s Nikki Kent caused some concerns for Harleston. A muddle in the Broadland goalmouth saw a penalty stroke awarded which came back off the post and a goal for the home team at the death saw Harleston take all the points
