Match Report | Saturday 16th November 2019 East Ladies Hockey League Division 2 (North East) Broadland 1 Ipswich II 0 Broadland’s goalkeeper and star player Jen Crawford saved a penalty stroke to prevent Ipswich II from taking an early second half lead after a foot on the line prevented a certain goal. Ipswich’s captain stepped up to take the stroke, but Crawford comfortably swept the attempt away with her hand to maintain the stalemate. Broadland who had been on the defensive for much of the game, started to look more comfortable on the ball and began to unsettle the visitors defence with some penetrating runs and passes, one of which lead to the only goal of the game, a sizzling strike from Dani Parke which rocketed off a defender’s stick into the roof of the visitors goal.
