Broadland III began on the front foot and took the game to their visitor’s Loddon II right from the start.  A goal mouth scramble and an infringement on the goal line lead to a penalty stroke being awarded to Broadland. Carolyn Duthie easily beat the Loddon keeper to give her team an early lead.  Loddon responded and replied through  Anna Moss who had been set up with a pin-point pass from Jennie Wilkinson.  Broadland’s star player Alishia Alexander however, restored Broadland’s advantage a few minutes later as she forced the ball home after a defensive blunder left the Loddon keeper exposed.  Broadland now with their tails up stormed forward and following an award of a penalty corner extended their lead through Fiona White who lifted the rebound ball over a defender’s stick and the outstretched body of the Loddon keeper.  With little time left on the clock Broadland scored undoubtedly the best goal of the game when a flowing move set up Alexander, who guided the ball pass the onrushing keeper and into the net for Broadland’s fourth and final goal.
