Match Report | Saturday 30th November 2019 East Women’s Hockey League Division2 (North East) Broadland 1 Norwich Dragons 3 There was nothing to choose between the two teams at the break with few efforts on target from both sides and no score. This, however, took a dramatic change immediately after the restart when a cross come shot from the Dragon’s right flew into the home teams net past the unsighted Trudi Westfield in the Broadland goal. To compound matters a second goal three minutes later, this time from an unmarked Dragon’s player was a massive set back. Broadland recovered with some lightning runs down the right one of which resulted in Kelly Allen pulling a goal back for Broadland. With Broadland back in the game and looking for an equalizer the pace of the game became quite frantic at times, and as ever is the case, when pressing for an equalizer, a further goal from a Dragon’s break away settled the issue. Scorers for Dragons were Jenna Mills with a brace and Beth Prakash.
Norfolk Women’s Hockey League Premier Division Broadland II 0 UEA II 9 A faster much younger, well drilled and organised UEA II overpowered Broadland II, scoring 5 goals before the break and 4 in the second half.
