Match Report |
Division 2 Broadland 2 Breckland 1 Breckland were only able to field 10 for the game and without an experienced goalkeeper found the going difficult. Broadland, on the other hand, had 3 subs and looked much the better for it. Most of the play throughout the first half was in the Breckland half with Broadland looking overwhelmingly threatening and likely to score at any moment. With less than 10 minutes on the clock Broadland’s star player Hannah Killick opened the scoring, with a confident strike. Broadland inspired picked up the pace and doubled their advantage a few minutes later through Killick. Breckland sensing the game was slipping away from them resorted to some heavy challenges but Broadland retained their composure to lead at the break. Breckland changed their goalkeeper at the break This restored a more experienced midfielder to their ranks and as the second half progressed, the away team began to create some opportunities by maintaining possession. Not to be bullied, however Broadland held strong but were eventually undone when a poor clearance let in a Breckland player for a consolation goal near the end. |
