Match Report |
Empresa Norfolk Women’s Hockey League Premier Division Norwich City III 4 Broadland II 1 A goal for the home side at the very beginning and ending of the first half was all that City could muster against a lively Broadland II. Broadland might have pulled a goal back on a number of occasions, but strong defending by the City rear guard kept them at arms-length until just after half time when Holley Becker reduced the deficit after a Nat Brooks penalty corner strike was deflected into her path. Broadland’s star player Imogen Tyrer in goal, her first game at this level, put in a magnificent performance to keep her side in the game but could do little to prevent Broadland conceding two further goals late on.
