East Men’s Hockey League Division 5 (North East) Broadland Exiles 4 Pelicans III 4 Broadland’s Dan Cheeseman scored a first half hattrick for the Division 5 league leaders before Pelicans III, in second place pulled a goal back. Ben Panter with a strong finish restored Broadland’s advantage only to see Pelicans on target again in the dying moments of the first half to keep the game alive. Broadland conceded again within a couple of minutes of the restart and from then it was end to end power play, incidents, controversy and confusion. Pelicans found the Broadland net again to equalize but always looked likely to concede as Broadland too, continued to look for a winner. |
