Although Broadland started the game with the push back and possession of the ball, they managed to give it away at almost every opportunity from then on. Unable to mount any serious forward play they remained on the back foot for long periods of the game. Broadland’s Nikki Baker had two decent strikes on the City goal but a combination of good defending by Norwich City’ s IV XI and good fortune they could not match City who led by two goals at the break. Broadland’s Lisa Gill soldiered on despite a cut on the hand but with City increasing their grip on the game with two further goals, her heroics came to nought.
