Match Report | Empresa Norfolk Women’s Hockey League Premier Division Broadland II 0 Evergreens 1 With the new hockey season finally underway, Broadland 2’s met Evergreens in thrilling and closely -contested game. Both sides worked hard, passing well and used the whole pitch with every player on both sides using true grit and determination, and working together as a team. Equally both teams defended well, with final passes either pressurised off target or saved well by their goalkeepers. A truly end to end match and all players should feel pleased with their efforts. Broadland came close to scoring on a number of occasions. Notably from a penalty corner, where Verity Becker’s well-timed strike was narrowly deflected past the post. It was Evergreens, however, who took home the points in the end. One goal separated the sides although a draw in my opinion would have been a fairer result. |
