Match Report | East Women’s Hockey League Division 2 (North East) Broadland 2 Harleston IV 3 With Harleston pulling all the strings Broadland never really hit the notes, let alone the high ones, until the midpoint of the first half when they turned the game on its head with a Verity Becker debut goal which gave Broadland the advantage. Broadland had conceded an early penalty corner goal but with Nikki Kent producing a scintillating run and fine finish, the visitor’s confidence was visible dented as Broadland worked hard to build on their good fortune which they did when Becker stormed forward to fire them in front. Harleston however, continued to move the ball quickly around the Broadland defence and in the last minute of the half found the equalizer their slick play deserved. An early penalty corner in the second half and well-placed shot across the Broadland defenders gave Harleston the points.
