Match Report	East Men’s Hockey League Division Division 4 (North East) Broadland Exiles 4 Dereham III 1 Exiles weathered an early attack from their visitors Dereham III before breaking out to take the lead through Dan Cheeseman who eased the ball past a defender and their goalkeeper. A Cheeseman attempt was deflected home for their second by Ian White, as the home side began to dominate procedures. A Dereham player not retreating from a free hit just before the break, lead to a penalty corner and although the initial attempt was well saved, Ed Sedgewick was on hand to fire in Exiles well deserved third goal. Dereham started the second period with great vocal determination and some strong play in their defence which ultimately lead to a penalty corner. Cheeseman’s dispatched a bullet of a shot which easily had the beating of the Dereham rear guard and their goalkeeper as the home side extended their lead. A tired tackle, and a penalty corner goal, late on at the other end, might have inspired a Dereham comeback but it was too little and too late. Report by Terry Ransom
