Match Report | Saturday 2nd October 2021 East Women’s Hockey League Division 2 North East Broadland 0 Harleston Magpies 3 3 Broadland had the much better start and dominated the first ten minutes pinning Magpies firmly in their half of the field and controlling the game. Harleston Magpies, took an early lead, however, when their first real foray into the Broadland defence down the Magpies right, resulted in a deflected cross eluding all the players, both attackers and defenders, to conveniently fall at the stick of a Magpies player, on her own in front of the Broadland goal. Although it was not quite end to end play Broadland gave it their all and finished the first half one down but in good spirit. Determined to get back into the game Broadland looked like they might salvage a point at anytime but another goal within 10 minutes of the restart was a bitter blow. With less than 5 minutes remaining a third goal at a penalty corner somewhat flattered the visitors.
