Match Report | Saturday 26th February 2022 East Women’s Hockey League Division 2 North East Broadland 2 Framlingham 4 Broadland started this important end of season fixture in great style with a goal after just three minutes with Abi Dennison firing home a well-rehearsed penalty corner routine. At this point in the game and for the next 15 minutes or so Broadland looked likely to double their score at any time. Framlingham having weathered the storm gradually eased their way back into the game with a goal from a penalty corner and then took the lead as they grew in confidence. A further opportunity for the visitors presented itself and was fired in with some style by one of their midfielders to give Framlingham a comfortable lead at half time. Broadland started the second half with great determination and created a number of good opportunities and eventually found the visitor’s goal after a stunning run by Helen Kelly and clinical finish to reduce the arrears. An ace penalty corner strike midway through the second half put the gloss on Framlingham’s performance and victory. Report by Terry Ransom ar the full-time whistle, which took a deflection off a defender into the top corner. Exiles only need 4 more points from 4 games to secure another promotion.
