Match Report | Both teams were rearing to get out the starting blocks for the 1st game if the season. Broadland have a point to prove following relegation. Broadland started quick out the blocks and put pressure on early, with a short corner awarded within the first 6 minutes. A well worked routine put broadland in front with a strike from Connie Harris. Norwich City soon retaliated with a great team goal, scored by Evie Brockington just 3 minutes later. With end to end play, Broadland found the net next following a great run by striker Saskia Snelle Vermeer scoring a thunderous reverse stick strike in the top corner. Again, Norwich city were not deterred and scored shortly after by Helen Brockington. Broadland then found their feet again and Saskia scored a further two, giving the keeper no chance. At half time broadland were 4-2 ahead. Broadland started strong with great passing. Broadlands star player Saskia scored another just 5 minutes after the break, a fantastic team goal that started from Hannah Marjorams pass from defence. Broadland were in control for the second half and created many chances. Within the last 10 minutes, Verity Becker converted a short corner with an effortless strike in the bottom left corner.
