Match Report | Saturday 5th November 2022 East Women’s Hockey League Division 3 North East North Broadland 6 Norwich City V 1 Broadland continued their unbeaten run with another outstanding performance against Norwich City 5. Unable to match the furious pace set by Broadland and their deadly finishing, Broadland scored within 3 minutes and led Norwich City by 6 goals at the break. Kelly Allen, Broadlands star player, in great form completed her third hattrick of the season in as many games and her outstanding form was supported by Verity Becker, who also completed a hattrick, her second of the season. With Saskia Snelle-Vermeer, Connie Harris and Isabelle Harris also contributing to the impressive score line Norwich City undeterred, pulled a goal back in the second period, but the contest was over, bar the shouting as Broadland continued to play the ball around at will scoring another 3 in the second half. Another outstanding team performance by Broadland 1’s who sadly say farewell to their international star striker Saskia Snelle-Vermeer following her move to the Shetland isles.
