Match Report | Saturday 19th November 202 Women’s East Hockey League Division 3 North East North Norwich Dragon V 1 Broadland 8 Broadland, determined to maintain their unbeaten run, travelled to the Den to take on Norwich Dragons 5th XI. Broadland quick out the blocks, went ahead in the 3rd minute through ace goal poacher Lydia Lawrence, who tight at the far post fired her side ahead. . Within minutes, Broadland playing some great team hockey extended their lead when Catherine Brewster’s first time shot fairly flew into the home team’s net for their second. Dragon’s sensing, they might be in for a torrid time, stepped up their play and pulled a goal back through a well-orchestrated penalty corner routine. Broadland’s response however was not long in forth-coming as they too re-asserted themselves when their star player Natasha Blyth struck home Broadland’s third and her first goal of the game. Natasha Blyth scored again as did Catherine Brewster to give Broadland a four-goal winning margin at the break Broadland continued to attack at pace in the second half, giving Dragons little time or opportunity to develop their game. A further 2 goals from Lydia Lawrence and Helen Kelly, and a final goal for hattrick hero Natasha Blyth, completed the rout.
