Match Report | Terry Ransom11h · Saturday 14thJanuary 2023 East Women’s Hockey League Division 3 North East North Broadland 3 Norwich City IV 1 Started the second half of the season keen to maintain their unbeaten record and this was truly illustrated by their display against a tough Norwich City side. Broadland setting a fast and furious pace dominated possession and creating opportunities almost at will. Jess Bennett’s formidable pace and skill saw her drive through the City midfield if it was not there and put Broadland ahead in the 7th minute. Broadland doubled their score through Emma Richardson at a penalty corner, the City goalkeeper unable to react quickly enough as Emma’s strike beat her for pace. City, strengthen their resolve and manage to avoid conceding again until just after the break when Jess struck again from close in. City managed to pull a goal back when Jen Crawford was beaten by a wild defected shot which looped over her and into the home team net.
